Battery Protection Modes (11/2025 and Newer)
These modes are found on the app under the status page.
PowerHouse Lithium batteries include intelligent protection features designed to extend battery life and prevent damage. These settings are built into the system and controlled through the app.
Low Voltage Protection (Leave ON)
Low Voltage Protection prevents the battery from being discharged to harmful levels.
• Protects the battery from excessive discharge
• Preserves long-term performance and lifespan
• Automatically activates when needed
When active, the app will display a notification indicating the battery is protecting itself and what to do to turn off and tap into more power.
This setting should remain ON at all times. Unless you need to run longer. You can turn off LVP to excess additional power, but battery has to be charged immediately after use. You should not turn off this feature until the battery has shut down, and you still need to access more power.
To turn off LVP you have 2 options. First, you can use the app to slide the switch to off located on the status page. The second option is the push the button on the battery marked low voltage protection. This will tap into the reserve. Remember you have to charge the battery immediately when completely discharging the battery.
Storage Mode (When Not in Use)
Storage Mode is designed for periods when the battery will not be used. This means select this mode if battery will be sitting for days without use. Then turn off day before trip and charge to 100% of needed. Sometimes 80% charged is plenty of power. Lithium batteries are best for health and longevity between 20% to 80% Soc.
Benifits for using Storage Mode:
• Reduces internal activity to protect the battery
• Helps maintain optimal condition during storage
Before using the battery: • Turn Storage Mode OFF (if needing a full charge). Starting batteries turn off before running engine and while using battery. Storage mode can be turned back on when charging at home.
• Fully charge the battery only if needed, or every 5th charge cycle to balance cells and app.
Getting Started
For best performance and battery health:
• Ensure Low Voltage Protection remains ON
• Turn Storage Mode On if not using battery. Turn off before use, or if needing a 100% charge rate.
• Fully charge the battery before operation if needed
• Use the app to monitor status and performance
